Bathroom is complete!

The before picture is in the previous post, sorry that it is the only picture we have! I wish I had a pic of the ugly vanity that was in there before…yuck! Here are the after pics! We are really happy with how it turned out! Unfortunatley the shower is still ivory, but it stands out way more in the picture than in person.

I fell down the icy steps outside of my house this morning. I hurt my knees and wrist the most, and my first thought was “oh no, I hope I didn’t hurt myself too much to have to miss Zumba tonight!”…haha. I landed on my yogurt which splattered everywhere, too. Winter lesson number one learned…salt your steps, Beckie.

I took Ralph to the vet this week because he needed a check-up and he had been itching his chin a lot and had been losing weight.

Turns out he has cat acne, so we have to make sure he is eating out of glass bowls only. He is losing weight because he has a thyroid problem. He has lost 2lbs, which is a lot for a cat! So, for now he is on medication that I need to give him twice a day, but we’d like to look into the surgery. He is only 8, and cats average life span is around 15, so we think we will spring for the surgery instead of the $35 a month meds. Plus he is Dan’s favorite, he picked him out at the SPCA, and he is just so sweet, we want him to feel better!

Running Blues…

I am starting to feel like I will never be one of those people that loves running. I had a couple of good runs a few weeks ago, but I seem to get worse and worse at it each time I try lately! I thought I would give running outside a try on Friday night. I figured I would run to Rachel’s since it is a mile and a half away. I swear it took me like 20+ minutes. I didn’t ever really notice it was all uphill practically on the way to her house. Plus the cold air made my lungs burn. I felt like a failure. Its only going to be colder in January!

Saturday night we went to Kristin’s Christmas party, which was fun. Lots of good vegetarian options

We left the party a little early because of the snow and we needed to go to Target to get some snow gear and stuff to finish the bathroom remodel. I really liked these ear muffs, but the glasses, not so much

Sunday morning we went to breakfast with Rachel and Al to a place down the street called Country View…not Golden Egg. Golden Egg in Portsmouth is our favorite, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the spinach omelette I got here. It was nice to spend time with Rachel and Al!

I'm really excited about breakfast, obviously.

Rachel and I attempted to go to a craft fair after this, but it didn’t end up happening because we thought there was one at a particular place, but it was the weekend before. I spent the rest of the day finishing Christmas wrapping and doing chores and errands.

I have been slacking on posting about food and taking pictures of food, so I will leave you with a pic of my healthy lunch from today. Salad, homemade veggie soup and some grapes. I won’t mentiont he fact that I had a pop tart a little while ago to tide me over until dinner, since we are working overtime and I won’t get a chance for a snack before Zumba!
